Riding in Europe – with the World’s Oldest Motorcycle Tour Company

Dreaming of carving through the Swiss Alps or thundering around in the Dolomites? This session covers what it really takes to ride Europe — the roads, the logistics, and the honest pros and cons of going solo versus joining a touring company. Either way, the throttle’s in your hand. Just go! — Richard Stearns, Beach’s Motorcycle Adventures

Richard Stearns knows European roads the way most people know their morning commute — except his commute often involves Alpine switchbacks and coastal cliff roads. A Byron, New York native with 15 tours already under his belt and two more on the books, he’s not just part of our crew — he’s a paying customer who keeps coming back. Richard brings experience, humor, and hard-won wisdom to every mile, all from the saddle of a BMW.

BMWRA Member Tom Davis Takes You Through His Group’s Adventure from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Yaviza, Panama

In 2025, eight riders set out on a month-long adventure to explore Mexico and Central America.  Tom will take us through the sights, sounds and smells along the way.  The kind and generous locals.  How what they experienced left all of them wanting to explore more.  There were also plenty of challenges along the way from border crossings to mechanical issues and even a lost passport.  These challenges brought together eight riders, who didn’t all previously know each other, to became fast friends and needed teammates. — Tom Davis
